@AcademyAwardsPerson this is a really old comment...i guess you'de be lucky to know..i don't like katy perry anymore...her music is shitt. I thought she'd ditch the commercial crap and do more kissing girls stuff..but she sucks musically..nd her tits may be great..but that about it

@ComoEstas15 In most cases i'd say laughing at your own jokes is lame but when the jokes aren't funny to start off with and she laughs at them i can't help but laugh along.

Fair enough, I'll concede you know more about the accents than me, but I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing for her to do that, if it sounds good. The Beatles cockneyed it up, and Mick Jagger sounded American, not saying she's in that class, but both worked.
Saying she owes her career to her family connections is an oversimplification, I think (maybe I made that point already). The path she took shows at least some individual perseverance on her part.
